I’m so excited to share this tutorial with you on creating your own patterned paper using Spectrum Aqua markers. I’ll take you step by step on the Spectrum Noir blog and show you how I created this neat background!
This digital image was so much fun to color with my Spectrum Noir markers! I also used my Craftwell eBrush airbrush tool to take some white paper flowers, a white circle punch, a white cardstock mat for my image, and a flourish cut with my Cricut on white cardstock and color them to match my picture.

A little experimentation with the Spectrum Aqua markers led to the creation of this beautiful background for my Spectrum Noir March 2015 challenge entry. The theme this month is “Use a Sentiment”. To create this lovely background, I scribbled blotches of several colors of Spectrum Aqua on a piece of clear acetate, added a drop or so of water to each, lightly swirled the colors together, then took a piece of glossy cardstock and pressed it onto the acetate. After lifting up and letting it dry, I had this beautiful rainbow effect for my background. Visit the Spectrum Noir challenge page to see the challenge details, enter your sentimental project, and see the rest of the beautiful projects the Design Team has created to inspire you as you go!
