Wildflower Beauty

The gorgeous image called “Wildflower Beauty” was offered by Sami of Sami Stamps for the Spectrum Noir Connoisseurs Facebook group’s May 2015 challenge to Use Flowers. Colored her up with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Colors listed below.

Coloring Fair Skintones with Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils

I have been playing around with my Spectrum Noir colored pencils, experimenting with some different colors for fair skin tones, and I put together a little step-by-step tutorial for Spectrum Noir to show you how I achieve creating skin tone highlights and shadows using the Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils, available from Crafter’s Companion. Roses – The Paper Shelter challenge

I just love this image from The Paper Shelter (actually, I love ALL their images!) Their theme for the current challenge is “Use Roses”, so I thought I’d color up their image titled “Rose”, couldn’t be more fitting, right? Colored with Spectrum Noir markers, listed below photo.

Want to learn how to color bumpy toad skin? Spectrum Noir has a great tutorial HERE on their website. For my bumpy toad skin, I used JG3, LG5, TN5 and LG3 for the dots, then blended them using LG3 and TN3.  Colored with Spectrum Noir markers. Shadowing added at edge of matting and title blocks using Spectrum Noir markers in the Craftwell eBrush. Full color list provided below.

Spectrum Noir May Monthly Challenge

It’s time for a brand new challenge over at Spectrum Noir! The theme this month is “Use Flowers”. Color up anything your heart desires with your Spectrum Noir products, create a project by using flowers (can be in your coloring, added to your project as an embellishment, a floral design on your patterned paper, etc.) and enter it in the challenge HERE.
