Nordic Christmas Gift Box

Just got back from vacation, and it’s time to get back into the swing of things here with a sneak peek of an adorable collection coming next week to Crafter’s Companion US called “Nordic Christmas”. For Christmas crafting in a Scandinavian style, this fabulously festive Nordic Christmas papercrafting collection offers everything from snowy village scenes to images of Santa and friends to coordinating digital papers and embellishments. The collection comes in the forms of stamp sets, embossing folders, and a papercrafting CD, and is bound to inspire lots of creative seasonal makes! The papercrafting CD contains much more than just standard Christmas cardmaking; you’ll be able to create lots of festive projects, including fun table decorations and trinket boxes.

Now, for my sneaky peek:

I created this cute gift box using the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool, and I embellished it with the stamp image and one of the sentiments from the “Christmas Cheer” stamp set in the Nordic Christmas collection. I colored the image using my Spectrum Noir markers. I also used one of the printable pattern papers and tags from the Nordic Christmas papercrafting CD. I added some Snow Writer texture paint to the hat and boots.

Flights of Fantasy Collection Now Available!

The Flights of Fantasy CD collection is now available at Crafter’s Companion USA! I have created another card using one of the Enchanting Elves digital images from the CD collection, coloring her with my Spectrum Noir markers. Below is the outside view of the card.

I embellished the image with the Die’sire Delicate Butterfly die for the butterfly diecuts. I used Spectrum Noir markers in my Craftwell eBrush to add the shading to the butterflies, as well as to the edge of my digital image. I also added some Fran-tage embossing enamel around the colored image .

Here is a view of the inside of the card. I created this pop-out card using the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool for the scoring and also for the embossed butterfly shape for the center. I again used Spectrum Noir markers in the eBrush to airbrush the edge of the butterfly.

Flights of Fantasy Sneak Peek

Today I am bringing you a sneak peek of a new twin-CD collection coming in a few days to Crafter’s Companion USA. The collection is called Flights of Fantasy by Morgan Fitzsimons, and will be available on July 24. This is a gorgeous collection of fantasy designs, from fairies and elves to dragons and unicorns, plus much more! In addition to digital stamps to color, there are pre-colored prints and topper sheets,  customizeable coordinating background papers, sentiments, card and fabric companions and so much more! I created this card using one of the digital stamps, colored with Spectrum Noir markers, and a coordinating background paper from the CD collection.

FOFELF13AJC2CCWMI colored up this elf image using Spectrum Noir markers (see below for color list). I paired it with the Sheena Douglass Wild Rose die set and the Die’sire Delicate Butterfly die, both available at Crafter’s Companion. I used Spectrum Noir markers in my Craftwell eBrush to add the shading to the leaves and flowers, as well as the frame of the image. I added some sprinkles of Fran-tage Aged Wine embossing enamel around the image to give it a “fairy dust” feeling.

Straight From the Horse’s Mouth

I heard it straight from the horse’s mouth that this stamp set from Sheena Douglass, available at Crafter’s Companion, was awesome! And boy, was he right! The ez-mount stamp set is called “From the Horse’s Mouth” and is part of Sheena’s “A Little Bit Sketchy” collection. I colored up the horse stamp with my Spectrum Noir markers using a flicking technique for hair, and used one of the sentiments from the set to create this galloping good card 🙂

Very Special Card

Spectrum Noir has a fabulous tutorial on their website HERE for coloring a galvanized metal effect using Spectrum Noir markers. I colored up this totally adorable digital stamp from Art by Miran with my Spectrum Noir markers, and used the tutorial to color the watering can to look like galvanized metal. Pretty cool, huh? See below for details.
