Die’sire Prestige Christmas Bauble

Phew, been a busy month with all these fabulous Die’sire embossing die releases at Crafter’s Companion US. Here’s another card I made, this one using the Die’sire Prestige Christmas Only Words “Christmas Bauble” die.

I cut and embossed the Christmas Bauble die on Crafter’s Companion Candy Red shimmering cardstock, then coated it with Ranger Inksenntials Glossy Accents. I backed the diecut with white cardstock that was tamped with a Memories Grass ink pad. The card base is a gold pearlescent cardstock embossed with the Sheena Douglass Frosty Ice embossing folder. The embossing was daubed with Memories Grass ink as well as Marvy Matchables Yellow Green ink. I used Spectrum Noir DR7 in my Craftwell eBrush at the edge of the card, and topped the card off with a green ribbon bow.

Jingle All the Way

Today I am sharing another project I have made using the Die’sire Classiques Christmas Only Words collection now available at Crafter’s Companion USA. This cute basket features the Jingle All the Way embossing die, cut from white shimmering cardstock and inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I created this cute basket from a red pearlescent cardstock using my Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool, following a tutorial found on the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Pro Christmas project DVD. I added some sheer and metallic ribbons to the four corners and the handle. I also used Spectrum Noir marker DR7 in my Craftwell eBrush to add shading to the edges of each side and the basket handle.

For the remaining sides, I used the bell shape from the Ultimate Tool Angle Wings and Fancy Things embossing board, cut it out of silver shimmering cardstock and eBrushed the edges using Spectrum Noir IG8.

Peace, Goodwill & Joy

I love the new Die’sire Classiques Christmas Only Words collection coming to Crafter’s Companion US! These elegant embossing dies cut and emboss beautifully and are very versatile. Here I have used the Peace, Goodwill & Joy die, cut from shimmering cardstock and inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I created the stained glass window effect using Spectrum Noir markers (BT5, LG5, PL5, DR6, CT4) in the Craftwell eBrush. For the metal leading around the window, I used a sliver leafing pen and then colored over it with Spectrum Noir IG8. This created an awesome leaded metal effect. The card base was created by scoring and folding white textured cardstock with the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool. The edges of the card and the shading around the window were eBrushed using Spectrum Noir IG8. I embellished the card with a beautiful sheer glittery ribbon bow that I created using the bow pegs on the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool.

The Die’sire Classiques Christmas Only Words collection will be available August 28th!

Die’sire Prestige Christmas Only Words

Another beautiful die release is on its way to Crafter’s Companion USA, the Die’sire Prestige Christmas Only Words collection. These 6 dies are gorgeous fancy words to embellish your cards and projects with.

For this card, I used the Die’sire Prestige Christmas Only Words “Peace” embossing die, cut on gold shimmering cardstock and eBrushed with Spectrum Noir DR7. I used white cardstock for a matting behind my diecut and eBrushed the edges with Spectrum Noir DR7 and True Black.

The evergreen embossed border was created using Sheena Douglass Frosty Ice embossing folder, daubed with Memories Grass and Marvy Matchables Yellow Green inks. With my Craftwell eBrush, I added shading at the edge of the embossing using Spectrum Noir LG5, JG7, and True Black.

The candle was created by embossing and cutting the candle elements using the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool and the Snowman Delight and Candlelight embossing board on Crafter’s Companion shimmering cardstock. I added the shading to the candle using Spectrum Noir DR7 and DR6 in my eBrush. The leaves at base of the candle were diecut using Sheena Douglass Wild Rose die set and shading was added with Spectrum Noir LG5 and JG7 in the eBrush.

Miscellaneous supplies:
Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool
Snowman Delight and Candlelight embossing board
Cut N Boss diecut machine
Craftwell eBrush
Collall glue
Crafter’s Companion Extra Strong permanent tape runner

Die’sire Christmas Fancy Edge’ables

Today is Release day for the new Die’Sire Edge’ables Christmas Fancy cut and emboss dies at Crafter’s Companion USA.

I made this adorable artwork (I’m going to frame it!) using the Snowflake Edge’ables die. The snowman topper is from the Nordic Christmas CD. The corner snowflakes are actually Sheena Douglass Wild Rose stamen diecuts. I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the tips of them.

Here’s a card I made using the Reindeer Dance Christmas Fancy Edge’ables die. This topper is also from the Nordic Christmas CD. The white highlighting on the embossing was done with opaque white gel pen. These new Edge’ables dies make it so quick and easy to make elegant looking cards and projects for your holiday handmade crafts.

Have a Wonderful Day

I just love these Sheena Douglass Perfect Partners stamp and die sets! The Issue 7 Summer Edition of Crafter’s Inspiration Magazine from Crafter’s Companion comes with a Sheena Douglass Poppy acrylic stamp set and a sampling of the dies that coordinate with it, and I couldn’t wait to have a play with it! I grabbed my eBrush airbrush system, my Spectrum Noir markers, and this tutorial for creating eBrushed bacgkrounds found HERE on the Spectrum Noir website, and set out to create a fabulous background using the poppy die from the die set.

I diecut several of the poppy petal shapes and used them as masks for my background, the same way the heart shapes were used in the tutorial link. On Spectrum Noir High Gloss cardstock, I eBrushed over my background with several shades of Spectrum Noir blue teals (BT9, BT7, BT5, BT3), then peeled up some of the poppy petals and eBrushed another layer. I repeated the process again, then decided to give it a little twist and rotated the poppy petals 90 degrees and did another layer of eBrushing. This gave it a neat twisted petal look. And I didn’t let the petal masks go to waste either, I layered them together, stamped the poppy petal stamp on them and used them as my flowers, so they were a perfect match to my background! The card was finished off with some leaves and a sentiment, all from the Sheena Douglass Poppy stamp set included in the Crafter’s Inspiration kit. I eBrushed the shading on the leaves using Spectrum Noir JG6, and then added a touch of Diamond Stickles to the leaves and flowers.

Die’sire Christmas Fireside Create-A-Card

Now available at Crafter’s Companion USA, the Die’sire Create-A-Card Christmas Cut and Emboss collection is sure to add just the right touch to your Christmas cards and projects. Sized at a very versatile 4.25″ x 5.5″, you will find so many uses for these dies!

For this card, I used the Christmas Fireside die from the new Die’sire Create-A-Card Christmas collection, cut and embossed on Crafter’s Companion Candy Red shimmering cardstock. Opaque white gel pen highlights were added to highlight some of the embossed areas. The patterned paper is a printable paper from the Nordic Christmas Papercrafting CD, and I used Spectrum Noir JG7 in the Craftwell eBrush to add shading to the edge of the paper. All of this was mounted onto a base of Crafter’s Companion green shimmering cardstock.

There are six beautiful dies in this new Create-A-Card collection. You can view them all at Crafter’s Companion USA

New Christmas Create A Card dies coming to Crafter’s Companion

It’s that time of the year, time to get into the holiday spirit! And Crafter’s Companion has a new Christmas Create-A-Card embossing die collection coming soon that will make your holiday cards quick and easy! There are six dies to this fabulous collection, sized at 4.25″ x 5.5″.

I created this card using the Christmas Fireside embossing die, cut using the Cut ‘n Boss on black cardstock, then adhered it to a multi-toned orange cardstock, which gives it such a peaceful glow. I used an opaque white gel pen to bring out some of the embossed details in the upper portion of the diecut, and used DR7 Spectrum Noir marker in the Craftwell eBrush to add the dark red shading to the edge of the card.

You can find them at Crafter’s Companion starting August 14th!

Coloring Feathers with Spectrum Noir Pencils

I found this adorable Sheena Douglass stamp set called Chick Chick Chicken on the Crafter’s Companion website, and, being the owner of 5 adorable chickens, just knew this would be a fun image to color.

I love how my chickens turned out, so I thought I would share the steps I followed for coloring them with my Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils. You can see step by step photos and instructions on the Spectrum Noir blog HERE.

ChickFinalInsideJClarkNOWMHere’s the inside view of the card. I used the Ultimate Crafter’s Companion embossing board to emboss the wavy line, then followed that for trimming the outside of the card so that the inside would show at the bottom. I then trimmed a piece of black cardstock following the same shape for the inside of the card and used white gel and black microliner pens to draw the dashed lines.
