Moonlight Romance

I just love this Wedding image from Sweet Escape Digis. It was created to honor the wedding of Alyce, the fabulously talented lady that teaches the online coloring classes I take over at Kit and Clowder (, as she is getting married very soon.

Upon first seeing the image, I immediately thought of a couple in front of a glowing moon, and I wanted to color the background as a dark night sky using my Spectrum Noir markers. Well, as luck would have it, there is a tutorial for that very thing over on the Spectrum Noir website HERE.  I followed Alyce’s instructions for coloring roses in her wonderful Rose coloring class (which is free!) to color up the roses. I added a few elegant Die’sire diecuts and made a cute 8×8 frameable art piece.

Spectrum Noir October Challenge

Are you ready for a Halloween themed challenge? Well, Halloween colors anyway! Spectrum Noir has their October challenge off and running, and the theme this month is Use Halloween Colors: Black, Purple, Orange, Green. I know not everybody is into Halloween, and although I do find it to be a fun event, I was stuck in the Colorista coloring mode, so I chose to color one of the free downloadable Colorista Online Coloring Course designs with the new Colorista markers and Spectrum Noir markers (for the black areas).

There are new rules for the challenge this month: You can follow the theme for a chance to win a prize, or you can submit any project featuring Spectrum Noir products for a chance at winning top honors!

So be sure to get your entry in!

Garden Gate

The new ColourBlend pencils from Spectrum Noir are Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! I created a little garden scene using some new stamps I got at the Scrapbook Expo in the Stamps By Judith and Heather booth and colored it with my ColourBlend pencils.

Crafter’s Companion will be bringing the ColourBlend pencils to HSN on Wednesday, October 5th.

Tune in for some fabulous deals on these and more new products from Crafter’s Companion!
