Make It Crafty with Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers

The much anticipated Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers have officially been released at Crafter’s Companion US! These markers are alcohol based markers, with a soft flexible brush nib on one end and a fine point bullet nib on the other. Perfect for illustrating and coloring up some masterpieces!

I created this colorful wonderland using a digital scenic stamp called Fairytale Bridge from Make It Crafty, and I added the Jasmine Unicorn digi stamp from Scrapper’s Delights. The scenery was colored with the new Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. The blending with the soft brush nibs is effortless, and the fine tipped nib is great for the smaller detailed areas. The unicorn was colored with the original Spectrum Noir markers.

Congrats Grad (in sepia tone)

It’s that time of the year, graduation time! Our youngest son is graduating high school this year, where has the time gone?!? He’s always been a bit of a bookworm, so I thought this stamp from Sheena Douglass’ Knowledge stamp set was the perfect fit for his graduation card.

I used a tutorial from the Spectrum Noir website for coloring sepia tones and applied the techniques to this coloring. I think he’ll like it! 🙂

A Little Bit Sketchy

Sheena Douglass has an awesome new stamp collection available at Crafter’s Companion, part of her A Little Bit Sketchy line. I love the look of these, there are so many ways you can make them look like they are torn right out of the background!

I colored this beauty, from the A Little Bit Sketchy Clematis stamp set, with Spectrum Noir markers. The background was airbrushed using Spectrum Noir markers and then distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink.

Downton Abbey card

I just love the elegant, timeless look and feel of the Downton Abbey collection, available at Crafter’s Companion US, and the Downton Abbey cardmaking kit from Crafter’s Companion US, available at HSN.

Here I have used some papers and embellishments from the Downton Abbey cardmaking kit  to make this masculine themed gatefold card. For the shirt, I found some origami instructions online, then used one of the papers from the kit and folded it into a shirt. Great card for any man in your life, don’t you agree?
