A Little Note Just For You

This adorable stamp from the Crafter’s Companion Angelica and Friends set is just too cute! This one is called “Grace” and it comes with the image stamp and 3 sentiment stamps, all pre-mounted onto EZ-Mount static cling.

I used my Big Score scoring board to create this square easel card. The stamped image was colored with Spectrum Noir markers, with the addition of little bit of the new Spectrum Noir Sparkle clear glitter brush on the wings.

After brushing the Spectrum Noir Sparkle onto the wings and letting it dry, I coated them with a layer of Glossy Accents for a little extra dimension. The image is backed with the Die’sire Chantilly Lace die from Crafter’s Companion.

Festive Wonder Milk Carton Treat Box

I’m loving the new Sara Davies Signature Collection Festive Wonder range from Crafter’s Companion, and for this project I used some paper and dies from the range, along with my Ultimate Tool Sweet Treats Special Treats embossing board to make a large milk carton treat box.

 

The base patterned cardstock for the box is from the 12×12 Sara Davies Signature Collection Festive Wonder paper pad. The Seasons Greetings die, as well as the Festive Flake snowflake die, are also from this collection, and they look beautiful cut from Crafter’s Companion shimmering cardstock.

Crafter’s Companion 30 Days of Gratitude

It has been such an honor and privilege to be a member of the Crafter’s Companion US Education Design Team for the past several months, and for the month of November, the design team has put together a special collection of cards on the Crafter’s Companion US Pinterest page with a theme of thankfulness and gratitude.

For the background on this card, I diecut the leaves using the Sheena Douglass Wild Rose leaf die, cut from cardstock and used as a mask for airbrushing with my Spectrum Noir markers in my Craftwell eBrush. Then I diecut the flowers and leaves from the Wild Rose die set and stamped them with the coordinating Sheena Douglass Wild Rose Briar stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink . Sentiment stamp is from the Crafter’s Companion Sentimentals Nature stamp set.

Flights of Fantasy

The Morgan Fitzsimons Flights of Fantasy twin CD collection at Crafter’s Companion makes creating cards and projects for your fantasy/fiction lover quick and easy. Not only are there fabulous read-to-print designs, but there is also a whole collection of digital designs perfect for coloring with Spectrum Noir markers.

Here I have made a pocket card using a printable design from the CD as well as a window frame digital design that printed and I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers. I created the card so that the window frame is layered in front of the topper for a little added dimension.

The pull-out card section also uses a topper from the CD, and it reveals the perfect spot to place a sentiment for the fantasy fiction-loving recipient.

Peaceful River

It’s been awhile since I used my scenic stamps to create some colorful scenery, so I decided to put together this little scene using my Stampscapes, Sutter and Art Impressions stamps, and finished it by coloring it with my Spectrum Aqua markers.

There is an awesome video tutorial HERE on the Spectrum Noir website showing several different techniques for coloring with the Aqua markers. For this scene, I used the techique of coloring on an acrylic block and using a paintbrush dipped in water to pick up the color and paint it onto the page.

To create this scene, I started with a piece of Spectrum Aqua watercolor cardstock. Using Stazon Jet Black, I stamped the Grizzly Digger stamp where I wanted it to be positioned. Then I placed a mask over the grizzly stamp and stamped the Valley River stamp twice, once for the left side and again to the right of the bear. After that I stamped the Rocky Peaks stamp multiple times using Granite Gray Designer Ink. Cloud Strips were stamped for detail in the sky, and the finishing touch was the Geese in Flight and The Wild (deer) stamps in Stazon Jet Black.

Sara Davies Signature Collection Festive Wonder

It’s release day today over at Crafter’s Companion US, Sara Davies has a beautiful new winter collection called Festive Wonder, part of the Sara Davies Signature Collection. Beautiful papers, dies, embossing folders, 3D toppers and stamp set!

I crafted this festive diamond easel card using my Ultimate Tool and several elements from this fabulous new collection. The poinsettia paper is from the 12×12 Festive Wonder paper pad. The snowflakes on the corners are the Festive Flake die that is part of the range, and the smaller snowflakes at the upper right are actually the center cutouts from the large snowflakes on the corners. They can be used together or independently, which adds greatly to their versatility! Also part of the range is the Seasons’ Greetings sentiment die in a beautiful script font. I added a few little gemstones colored with my Spectrum Noir markers as my topper stopper, colored to look like the center of the flower.

Crafter’s Companion Birthday Bash!!

WooHoo!! Crafter’s Companion UK just celebrated their 10th Birthday, and Crafter’s Companion US is also celebrating with some great birthday deals this whole week!

And as if that weren’t exciting enough, tomorrow a brand new collection will be released, the Sara Davies Signature Collection, Festive Wonder range. This range of fabulous wintery products includes printed papers, metal dies, 6×6 embossing folders, 5×7 embossing folders, 3D toppers and a clear stamp set.

Here is a hot cocoa gift envelope I made using my Big Score and papers from both the 6×6 paper pad and the 12×12 paper pad. For the snowflake, I used the die from the collection called Festive Flake. It is a beautiful die-in-a-die, as you can use the outer scrolly part separate from the inner part, but here I have combined the two into one large snowflake. I also kept the negative part of the diecut and used that as a border for my diecut. The white part of the flake was cut from Crafter’s Companion White Pearl shimmering cardstock and the center portion was cut from Crafter’s Companion Forest Green shimmering (both on sale this week!) Shading was added to both pieces using Spectrum Noir JG6 marker in my Craftwell eBrush.

The envelope opens to reveal a little gift for someone special! Perfect for stocking stuffers, teacher’s gifts or just a little something special for a loved one.

Spectrum Noir November Challenge

The November challenge over at Spectrum Noir is off and running, the theme this month is Winter/Christmas. For my DT inspiration, I used the candle stamp from the Sheena Douglass A Little Bit Festive Peace stamp set and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers.

For the background I used the Sheena Douglass Frosty Ice embossing folder
inked with Ranger Archival Viridian and Marvy Matchables Jungle Green, then eBrushed with Spectrum Noir JG6.

The card title “Peace” is an embossing diecut from the Crafter’s Companion Die’sire Prestige Christmas Only Words collection, cut from Crafter’s Companion silver shimmering cardstock and inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Season’s Greetings – Sara Davies Signature Collection – Festive Wonder Range

Oh boy, Crafter’s Companion US has a big celebration planned for next week to celebrate Crafter’s Companion UK’s 10th birthday! Along with the celebration, the Festive Wonder range, part of the Sara Davies Signature Collection, will be released. This is a fabulous range of dies, embossing folders, a 6×6 paper pad, a 12×12 paper pad, 3D toppers and a clear stamp set that are perfect for all of your winter seasonal projects.

For this card, I have use two of the metal dies from the Festive Wonder range: The Festive Flake snowflake die (only used the center of the flake for this card), and the Season’s Greetings die. Both of these were cut out of Crafter’s Companion White Pearl shimmering cardstock and then airbrused using Spectrum Noir marker TB5 in my Craftwell eBrush. I have also used the 5″x 7″ Snowy Corner embossing folder, embossed on White Pearl cardstock and inked with Ranger Archival French Ultramarine ink. Red paper is patterned paper from the 12×12 Festive Wonder paper pad.

Happy Anniversary

I have so much fun creating special cards for family and friends for their special events. I made this card to celebrate our son and daughter-in-law’s second anniversary.

I used the Die’sire Edge’ables Only Words die “On Your Special Day” to create the card title in the corner of the card. For the flowers, I paired the Sheena Douglass Wild Rose Briar stamp set with the Sheena Douglass Wild Rose die set to create beautiful dimensional flowers. Shading was added with Spectrum Noir markers in my Craftwell eBrush; DR7, DR3, JG6, LG5, CG3
