Cherished Moments

How adorable is this Verity Rose Cupcake stamp?!? She’s so full of elegance, and dainty, and everything a lady should be!

I’ve colored her up with my Spectrum Noir markers. I also added a border stamp and a teapot stamp from the Crafter’s Companion Downton Abbey line, also colored with Spectrum Noir markers. The sentiment, from the Crafter’s Companion Sentimentals Vintage Florals Sentiments stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.

Timeless

I just love this Chastity Steampunk image from Scrapper’s Delights, and the sentiment from the Crafter’s Companion Vintage Floral Collection Sentimentals Sentiments Rubber Stamp Set was the perfect fit for the theme of the image.

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers. The ribbon threading die on the left side is the Die’sire Classiques Ribbon Threading die.  The sentiment stamp was stamped with Versamark ink and then embossed with gold embossing powder.

Spectrum Noir April Challenge

Sorry I’m late posting the new Spectrum Noir challenge! Life has been very busy lately, preparing for the holiday coming up and enjoying the birth of our grandson 🙂

Spectrum Noir’s April Challenge is in full swing, and the theme this month is Photo Inspiration. You can also enter an Anything Goes category. See challenge rule for details.

I’ve used the flowers from the challenge photo for inspiration to create this cute little gift box featuring stamps from the Sheena Douglass Perfect Partners Victorian Floral Lily stamp set. The box was created using Crafter’s Companion cardstock and the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool. The lily stamps were colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

Please join us for the April Spectrum Noir Challenge, we would love to see your entries!

Make It Crafty with Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers

The much anticipated Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers have officially been released at Crafter’s Companion US! These markers are alcohol based markers, with a soft flexible brush nib on one end and a fine point bullet nib on the other. Perfect for illustrating and coloring up some masterpieces!

micjclarksnwm

I created this colorful wonderland using a digital scenic stamp called Fairytale Bridge from Make It Crafty, and I added the Jasmine Unicorn digi stamp from Scrapper’s Delights. The scenery was colored with the new Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. The blending with the soft brush nibs is effortless, and the fine tipped nib is great for the smaller detailed areas. The unicorn was colored with the original Spectrum Noir markers.

SteamPunk’d

How fabulous is this pretty Steampunk lady digital stamp from Scrapper’s Delights?!?

The digital stamp is called “Chastity Steam Punk 2” and I’ve colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers. The floral embellishments were diecut using Sara Davies Signature Collection Floral Delight In Bloom die set on the Gemini diecutting machine.

Seasons Greetings

Brrrr, we’re currently under a winter storm warning here in the US Midwest, snow is falling and baby it’s cold outside! But it also makes for the perfect time to wrap up in a blanket, watch a little TV, and do a little coloring with my Spectrum Noirs!

I just love this adorable penguin digi from Scrapper’s Delights! He’s called Penguin Willie North Pole, and he was so much fun to color!

I found some fun, festive candy cane patterned paper in my stash, and paired it with some Sara Davies Signature Collection Festive Wonder Snowflake Trio and sentiment Season’s Greetings diecuts. The border diecut framing the coloring was made using the Die’sire Decorative Dies – Enchanted Spring border die. All diecutting was done with the Crafter’s Companion Gemini machine. I added clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle marker over the sentiment for some winter shimmer.

Bridal Shower Celebration

My good friend Alyce Keegan, owner and coloring instructor at Kit & Clowder, recently wed her true love, Jon, and as part of an online bridal shower that was held for Alyce, Janice Collyer of Scrapper’s Delights created this beautiful limited edition bride image, complete with a bouquet enhanced with markers!

weddingstep2jclarksnwm

I colored her up using Spectrum Noir markers, and created a fun step card using my Big Score scoring board and an adorable bride and groom edge die from the Die’sire Edge’ables Bride and Groom set. The dress/suit edge diecut, plus the corner and flower dies, are all part of this set. Simply beautiful! To top it off, I used the Always & Forever die from the Sara Davies Signature Love & Romance collection for the sentiment,  and the heart locket and key die set called Key To My Heart, also from the Love & Romance collection, for the step inset panel. All of these dies cut beautifully using my Gemini die cutting machine.

Moonlight Romance

I just love this Wedding image from Sweet Escape Digis. It was created to honor the wedding of Alyce, the fabulously talented lady that teaches the online coloring classes I take over at Kit and Clowder (www.kitandclowder.com), as she is getting married very soon.

bridenightskyjclarksnwm

Upon first seeing the image, I immediately thought of a couple in front of a glowing moon, and I wanted to color the background as a dark night sky using my Spectrum Noir markers. Well, as luck would have it, there is a tutorial for that very thing over on the Spectrum Noir website HERE.  I followed Alyce’s instructions for coloring roses in her wonderful Rose coloring class (which is free!) to color up the roses. I added a few elegant Die’sire diecuts and made a cute 8×8 frameable art piece.
