Definitely a Marker Girl!

I just adore this digital image from Scrapper’s Delights called Crafty Honey Markers. She reminds me of myself! 🙂

Spectrum Noir April Challenge – Use Pastels

A new challenge is up over at Spectrum Noir, the theme for this month is Use Pastels. This is the perfect theme for this beautiful springtime season!

PastelsJClarkSNWM

Here is my challenge inspiration for you. I colored this stamp using Spectrum Noir Blendable colored pencils on Spectrum Noir Ultrasmooth Premium White cardstock using Gamsol blending solution to blend and soften the colors. I chose this cardstock because I knew the smooth surface would help keep the colors from becoming too vibrant, thus aiding the soft pastel look.

Beautiful Faery Arielle Flora Fae

Today I am sharing a new card I made using the beautiful faery image called Arielle Flora Fae by Faery Ink, colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

ArielleJClarkSNWM

I colored the image using my Spectrum Noir markers. The “faery dust” around the image was created using Frantage embossing enamels. The paper flowers were glittered up using the clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle markers. Dots were added to the yellow brad for the paper flower center using Spectrum Noir GB9 and GB5.

Spectrum Noir markers used:

Skin – PL1, TN2, FS9, FS5, FS2, FS1

Flowers – BP7, BP5, BP3, BP1 Blender

Dress/Flower/Lips – DR6, DR3, CR7, CR5

Wings – PP1, PP2, PL2, Blender

Flower center – GP9, GB7, GB5, GB3, CT4, TN6

Frantage embossing enamels – Aged Wine and Scarlet

If Kisses Were Flowers

I’ve been having quite a bit of fun playing with these beautiful flowers from the Sheena Douglass A Little Bit Sketchy A New Leaf stamp set from Crafter’s Companion. I diecut a circle using the largest circle die in the Die’sire Essentials Circle die set. I used my MISTI stamping tool to align and stamp the small flower in a perfect circle, then used it to align and stamp the matching larger flower in the center. The sentiment is from the Sentimentals Vintage Floral Phrases stamp set. More details below.

FloralRing2JClarkCCWM

The flowers and red circle background were colored with Spectrum Noir markers. The flowers are actually flat; I was able to achieve a dimensional look to them by flicking the shading on the petals from the center out, and then from the outside edge inward. This makes them appear bent, even though they really are not.

Spectrum Noir color list:

TB5, TB3, BT3

GB7, GB5, CT3

DR6, DR4, DR3, CR9, CR7
