HSN Colorista Sneak Peek

Jennifer Tryon of Crafter’s Companion will be returning to the Home Shopping Network on Tuesday, January 10th, and among all the new goodies she’ll be bringing are some new sizes of Colorista coloring pads, in 6″x6″ and 12″x12″.

These new sizes are perfect for all sorts of crafty projects. Below, I have colored a page from the Colorista 12×12 Exquisite Florals coloring pad with the Colorista markers, and used my Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool to create a box top out of it. I used Crafter’s Companion white construction cardstock for the box base.

For this box, I made the sides measure 1.5″, which leaves a full 9″ box with plenty of room for all sorts of precious gifts. The Ultimate Tool, which will also be available during the HSN event, makes it so easy to create gift boxes in all shapes and sizes!

I used the second sheet of matching paper from the paper pad and the Ultimate Tool Springtime Sweets and Cupcake Treats embossing board to create a matching embossed tag for my gift box.

Be sure to tune in on January 10th! You don’t want to miss out on this fabulous crafty event!

Gemini Sneak Peek!

It’s almost here!! The new electronic diecutting machine from Crafter’s Companion, a.k.a. the Gemini, will be available soon!! I’ve had the pleasure of playing with this machine and I am in love!! The pressure this machine cuts with is top notch, and I’m getting much better embossing results with the Gemini than my other electronic diecutting machine. And this machine has pause and reverse buttons too! The reverse button is a great enhancement because if you are only cutting a small die or two or three, you can line them up at one end, run the plate sandwich through just far enough for the dies, then reverse it back out so you aren’t waiting for it to run all the way through. Such a time saver!

Bluebell Gift Bag

Crafter’s Companion carries a beautiful line of coordinating floral stamps and dies from the very talented designer Sheena Douglass. They are so versatile, and from cards to gift boxes/bags to home decor, they make the perfect embellishments.

For this cute little gift bag, I’ve used the Sheena Douglass Perfect Partners Victorian Floral Bluebell EZ Mount stamp set and the coordinating Sheena Douglass Perfect Partners Victorian Floral Bluebell metal die set. The flowers and leaves were diecut out of Crafter’s Companion White Pearl shimmering cardstock, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink using the coordinating Bluebell stamp set, then airbrushed with Spectrum Noir markers.

UltiBagsEmbossingBoardFor the bag construction, I used the Ultimate Tool and the Ulti-Bags embossing board. Just place your cardstock on the board, use the included embossing tool to emboss the design onto the cardstock, cut out and assemble. It’s a great way to make some quick and easy gift bags for those small gifts that mean alot.

Spectrum Noir markers used: Flowers – TB7, TB4, TB1 Leaves – JG6, LG5, CG3

Thank You Gift Bag

Today I’m sharing a cute little gift bag, perfect for that special little thank you gift or gift card.

For the gift bag base, I used a textured green cardstock along with my Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool and the Ultimate Tool Ulti-Bags embossing board to emboss it and then cut it out with scissors. The patterned paper center panel was also embossed from the same board and trimmed out with scissors. Shading was added to the bag base and the center panel using my Craftwell eBrush and Spectrum Noir marker DG3.

All of the flowers and leaves were created using the Ultimate Tool Springtime Sweets and Cupcake Treats embossing board and Crafter’s Companion Shimmering Cardstock. Shading was added to the leaves using my Craftwell eBrush and Spectrum Noir markers DG3 and CG3.

Using Black Pearl shimmering cardstock, I diecut the “Thank You” using the Die’sire Classiques Only Words embossing die and brushed on some Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle marker to add a little bit of glittery sparkle.
