Wild at Heart on HSN Wednesday, May 2nd!

Crafter’s Companion is coming back to the Home Shopping Network on Wednesday, May 2, with lots of fabulous new crafting goodies! Among them are the new Spectrum Noir AquaTint watercolor paint pens. They are gorgeous colors in a new styled pen that includes a bristle brush, perfect for brushing and blending the watercolor ink.

Also coming are some beautiful new stamp sets, including this Wild at Heart stamp set, which was stamped here as a second-generation stamp (first stamped on a separate sheet and then stamped on the actual watercolor cardstock for a lighter impression), and then watercolored with the AquaTint pens. For portions of the image, I first scribbled the watercolor ink on an acrylic block and used a Crafter’s Companion waterbrush to pick up the color and apply it to the image. For the darker portions of the flowers and leaves, I colored directly on the image with the AquaTint pens. The floral border die is an oldie but goodie Die’sire Edge’ables Floral Dance die.

Saving for a Rainy Day

How fun and versatile are the new Spectrum Noir Colorista watercolor paper pads and pencils?!? They make it so easy to upcycle things like this cute bank that I found at the local dollar store.

The background paper is from the new Spectrum Noir Colorista Aqua range, which I’ve colored using the Colorista Aqua watercolor pencils and the fabulous water brushes from Crafter’s Companion. The paper has gorgeous resist embossing areas, as well as foil accents that really make a statement. Here I’ve trimmed a section of the paper down and used it as the backer inside the bank. Who wouldn’t enjoy saving their pennies in a beautiful bank like this? 🙂

Gift Basket with Crafter’s Companion/Spectrum Noir Colorista

I just love my Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Tool and all the fun projects you can make with it! And I used some fun toppers from the Colorista range to kick it up a notch!

I made this cute little basked using my Ultimate Tool, and decorated the sides with some of the heart shaped toppers from the Spectrum Noir Colorista Watercolor Toppers pad, colored with the new Spectrum Noir Colorista Aqua pencils. A little touch of ribbon at the corners finishes off the basket very nicely, and it’s ready to be given as a gift with some little goodies for that someone special!

Metallic Pencils on Dark Paper? Yes please!

Spectrum Noir has some awesome new products coming our way, and among them are these fabulous metallic pencils that color on dark paper! And Spectrum Noir is satisfying all of our coloring cravings with an awesome new line of Colorista Dark premium paper pads to go along with them!

You can find these crafty goodies debuting in the UK on HOCHANDA February 27th, followed by the US debut on the Home Shopping Network March 8th. Stay tuned for more details!

Garden Gate

The new ColourBlend pencils from Spectrum Noir are Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! I created a little garden scene using some new stamps I got at the Scrapbook Expo in the Stamps By Judith and Heather booth and colored it with my ColourBlend pencils.

Crafter’s Companion will be bringing the ColourBlend pencils to HSN on Wednesday, October 5th.

Colorista Coloring Tutorial – Coloring on Glitter Paper

Hello crafty friends! I’ve put together a quick video tutorial over on the Spectrum Noir website showing how fun and easy it is to color on the glitter pads that are part of the new Spectrum Noir Colorista coloring pad collection.

Here, I’ve used the new Spectrum Noir Colorista markers to color one of the pre-glittered designs from the Colorista card packs. The pre-glittered paper is so fun to color on, and the results are a stunning shimmery sparkle!

Die’sire Doily Corner Gift Bag

Sara Davies of Crafter’s Companion US will be live on HSN Wednesday, July 6th, and she’ll be bringing  with her a whole bunch of new crafty goodies!

Here, I’ve used one of the new Die’sire corner dies, Doily Corner, to create the handle for this cute little gift bag. This new die, and many others, will be available on HSN.

Gemini Diecutting machine coming to HSN

The long-awaited-for Gemini diecutting machine from Crafter’s Companion will be making its US debut on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) on Wednesday July 6th.  But the package not only contains an AMAZING diecutting machine, it also contains a fabulous bundle of dies and embossing folders to get you started.

I created this gift box using the Flowers and Butterflies embossing folder, plus the floral and butterfly dies, all of which are included in the Gemini package.

HSN Sneak Peek!

Sara Davies will be back in the US on Wednesday, October 7 for a special craft event on HSN. She’ll be featuring many of the new Die’sire Edge’ables and Create A Card embossing dies, among many other fabulous Crafter’s Companion products.

I made this Christmas tissue box using the new Die’sire Christmas Fireside Create A Card die, one of the dies that will be available on HSN October 7th.

I used Crafter’s Companion white construction cardstock to make my panels, cut and embossed the die on each panel, then inked each panel with Printworks Hunter Green ink and airbrushed it using my Spectrum Noir markers in the Craftwell eBrush using JG7 and LG5. The entire green background is eBrushed as well.

The lid was also cut from CC construction cardstock. A layer of red cardstock with the edges eBrushed using Spectrum Noir DR7 was added. On top of that I placed a Die’sire Chantilly Lace diecut, with the center making the opening for the tissue box.
